Islamophobia among Muslims in Indonesia

Islamophobia has its long historical roots. Nonetheless, religiously motivated terrorism and the use of name “Islam” by terrorist organizations such as Islamic State (IS) may have amplified Islamophobia. caused violence against Muslims in several stages contexts. This study was held to investigate whether could also happen among largest Muslim population, Indonesia, majority avoid being associated with Islamist terrorists. Using quantitative method analysis, formulated Scale (IMOS) involved 509 participants. The findings show that 92% Indonesia do not demonstrate any sign 7.67% shows prejudice, fear, rejection toward certain symbols, religious traditions, distinguished appearance which be terrorists’ outfits.
